Set correct mimetype and charset for XML post

This is a possible fix for #46.

Since I was unable to reproduce #46 myself on a real VPN, I'm unsure whether the patch actually makes any difference on any real VPN.

Here's an explanation for why application/xml rather than text/xml is preferred.
