Disable single instance limitation? Windows

I understand that most users only need one instance, but I am not most users, I need to run multiple tunnels in parallel (none of them force their gateway 0.0.0.0 route and their routes do not overlap). Sort of like ShrewSoft VPN (or Linux vpnc-gui) can.

My clients are now mostly switching to AnyConnect and that forces me into cisco clients (which I avoid since vnpc times exactly because it doesnt allow multiple tunnels).

How does one go about making this work? I see the multiple instance in the menu, but its grayed out and cannot be disabled to allow multiple instances. I tried googling this, but there does not seem to be any clear solution.
