Titles with apostrophe(s) include redundant \ escape character in directory name

everything works fine except for the additional \ in movie titles which contain apostrophe(s)

for example:

drwxr-xr-x 4.0K Jun 18 03:00 'The World'\''s End (2013)'
drwxr-xr-x 4.0K Jun 21 10:49 'Before the Devil Knows You'\''re Dead (2007)'
drwxr-xr-x 4.0K Jun 10 04:09 'Malibu'\''s Most Wanted (2003)'

Plex library recognizes the movie just fine, but is this by design or should is it not escaping correctly and leaving \ in the filename? Or is this a Linux fs limitation? extremely minor issue here, jw!
