Tikal for Moses and <x>, <g> inline codes in <alt-trans>

Created by: Anonymous

Original issue 213 created by @ysavourel on 2012-03-14T13:55:38.000Z:

I now have a customer using Okapi/M4Loc with Déjà Vu and a specific issue came up with the behavior Tomas described below: An XLIFF file leveraged from Moses InlineText contains both and tags with the tags containing the simplified inline formatting tags (,,...) as described below.

When importing files with alt-trans that have g/x tags in some tools, it uses the translations present in by default. And it doesn't understand the simplified inline formatting tags, so it loses the formatting. I think this is wrong default behavior and we are checking with Atril if there is a setting where this behavior can be changed.

However it may be usefull from the Okapi/M4Loc sideto have a couple of options:

  1. Add a -noalttrans option to tikal for the Moses InlineText leveraging with -lm
  2. Insert the more cluttered formatting also in the tag
