Controls/buttons not announcing what they do

When activating buttons with a texttospeech viewer or screen reader, many controls do not announce what they are or what they do; the label is missing on most buttons on the front page, in the header (top right), and in the bottom bar. Clear, consistent names that mirror the visible labels help people understand purpose before committing to an action, reduce errors, and make navigation predictable across the interface.
