Ecoblox Integration
We want to estimate and plan works needed for the following use-case: This milestone is dedicated to that, from the technical perspective.
-
Ecoblox is a startup which is building high performance hardware-level reconfigurable GPU clusters in marine containers. Each container constantly runs a small rack of machines which operates the configuration and orchestration of clusters within the container. When a user demands a specific compute task, Ecoblox configures a custom GPU cluster via their hardware management software, installs operating systems and orchestration control plane and provides that compute to a customer. When the job is finished, the cluster is torn down and the hardware becomes available for other customers. The ability to configure and customize hardware setups for each compute task provides large efficiency gains. NuNet provides a compute orchestration layer that can orchestrate deployments to known machines as well as finding hardware that fits tasks best, based on the declarative description of hardware needed for a compute task and declarative description of hardware that is available in the network.

The idea is to implement the interface between NuNet orchestration layer and Ecoblox control management software leveraging our Datacenter management and aggregation R&D direction and enable not only orchestrate existing machines as in regular datacenters, but also enable the on-demand re-configuration on hardware level, based on real time requests for compute via NuNet protocol. Naturally, the NuNet micro-payments layer will be plugged into this when it is ready
