Magisk Cannot Be Updated On AVD

I updated the Magisk zip folder with the one from here.

I then run the following command after deleting the original magisk.zip and replacing it with the new one. .\rootAVD.bat system-images\android-33\google_apis_playstore\x86_64\ramdisk.img

After reboot of the AVD I see the new apk and a requirement to reboot in the Magisk app. Even after rebooting the installed version of Magisk does not change.
