Block read loopback
Hello, I plan to write a torrent plugin that would run with nbdkit server on multiple machine from the initramfs.
The torrent plugin would expose the torrent blocks read only to the kernel through nbdkit.
But since everything is in ram I would like to prevent de-duplication of blocks (once in the kernel cache and once in the plugin), is it possible to read /dev/nbdN from the plugin to retrieve blocks that are already in kernel cache? That would allow to send torrents block to other nodes without de-duplicating the data.
Thanks, Hugues
