documentation update

There are still quite a few links to sourceforge, particularly for the documentation. The project still seems relatively active but I couldn't find any useful docs on sourceforge. Is that documentation still available somewhere? Could it be brought into this repo? Is there any desire to publish on pypi? Thanks!
