A customer recently brought to our attention a specific behavior issue with the MuteMe button when used in Google Meet's companion mode on macOS. After verifying the customer's report, we have detailed the problem and its context. Issue Details: **Application:** Google Meet Chrome Extension **Scenario:** Using MuteMe button in companion mode **Expected Behavior:** The MuteMe button should exclusively control the microphone's mute/unmute function. **Observed Behavior:** When activated in companion mode, the MuteMe button toggles the camera on and off, rather than controlling the microphone settings. Additionally, when the MuteMe button is used, it controls the mute/unmute function in the standard Google Meet window, leading to simultaneous control issues, including multiple video feeds of the user appearing. This behavior diverges from the expected functionality, where the button should only affect the microphone settings without impacting the camera controls. We are currently investigating this issue to provide a solution that aligns with the intended use of the MuteMe button in various Google Meet modes.
