      Check convergence for Simpson's rule (commented code) · 3da5fec4
      Francesco Montanari authored
      * cosmo.el (cosmo-trapzd, cosmo-qsimp): Adapt Simpson's rule to
        automatically check convergence. At similar accuracy, the code is
        about one order of magnitude slower than the previous
        implementation. Try to improve efficiency by replacing loops with
        more functional solutions. For the time being the newly added code
        is commented out, the old implementation is used.

      Simplify summary header · 3d53fc09
      Francesco Montanari authored
      * cosmo.el (cosmo--write-calc-header): Suggest only how to quit in the
        header help. Before also the usage of SPC and DEL where
        suggested. However:
        - For advanced Emacs users the help is not necessary at all.
        - For beginners the DEL is misleading, since it refers to back-space
          (not to delete). However, using a different name would not be
          consistent with Emacs notation. Since users can scroll down also
          using arrows, the simpler more consistent solution is not to
          suggest DEL and, consequently, not to suggest SPC as well.

      * cosmo.el (cosmo-calculator): Use `with-output-to-temp-buffer` to
        open the temporary buffer. This solves previous problems related to
        dealing with an already existing buffer with the same name. This
        also shortens the function, while improving it.

      Add curvature and radiation parameters; revert to other-window · b4142dba

      * cosmo.el (cosmo--params, cosmo--get-ocurvature, cosmo--write-calc):

        computed as derived parameter, given Friedmann's equations.

      * cosmo.el (cosmo-calculator): Instead of opening a special-mode
        buffer, open a normal buffer. The special mode buffer was
        problematic because if cosmological parameter were updated while the
        special buffer was already open, it would not update. The user would
        have need to kill it and call again `cosmo-calculator`.
