Dark Wheat will not grow Nethercraft Alpha 1.16.5

Dark Wheat is supposed to grow in the dark as it name suggests. However, it is only plantable in the dark, but does not grow. I increased the tick rate rapidly to test if having light would make it grow. It did however, the plant would break right before being harvestable causing it to never be able to be harvestable as wheat. My only temporary fix to this was using the rich soul soil planter from Nethers Delight mod. Even though this version of the mod is mostly likely not going to see support I would love to see this mod updated to current versions without this bug (also with a trapdoor variant for its wood).
