Issue created May 02, 2021 by Duncan Bayne@duncan-bayne

Front camera images very blurry

Describe your issue

When I take a photo with the rear-facing camera, it's of acceptable quality.

However, when I take a photo with the front-facing camera, it's consistently blurry.

(Note that I've converted the TIFF images to JPEG and resized to 25% for an easier time raising the issue. I can provide raw TIFF versions if required).

Expected Behavior

I expected clear photos from front and rear facing cameras.

Observed Behavior

Only the rear facing camera produces clear images.

Specific area or package affected

megapixels 0.15.0-1+mobian1

How reproducible is the bug?

Every time.

Steps to reproduce the bug

  1. open megapixels
  2. switch to the front camera, if not already selected
  3. take a photo

What device are you using?

PinePhone Braveheart edition, updated with new 3GiB motherboard.

Which mobian repository are you using?

http://repo.mobian-project.org/bullseye

How did you get your Mobian Image?

I'm running the mobian-pinephone-phosh-20210502.img nightly from https://images.mobian-project.org/pinephone/nightly/.

Solutions you have tried

  1. re-flashing the nightly image to the SD card, and re-testing with a vanilla Mobian installation
