Updates of fresh FDE-Installation on SD-card alter eMMC
Hello there,
using the FDE-image 20201215 on a SD-card for testing purposes, the test-system did somehow alter the eMMC installation. Here is what I did:
I set up the SD-card installation and booted the phone. After performing a full system update sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
I tested for some hours (some Axolotl stuff) and removed the SD-card to boot back into eMMC.
But I ended up with the Mobian start screen and an error message, saying that cryptsetup is waiting for the encrypted source device UUID=xxx (the exact error message is lost). The UUID was not the one of my eMMC-LUKS-boot-partition.
After changing the UUID of the eMMC-LUKS-boot-partition into the UUID cryptsetup was looking for (over jumpdrive) and changing /etc/crypttab
accordingly, the boot process went to osk-sdl being started - but in the old version and there was no input possible.
I really don't know which step of the update process changed the eMMC...
P.S.: The FDE-image is still a great improvement! Thanks for that.
