IPP mismatch between timeout and default num. templates

It seems to be that either the timeout is too short, or the default number of templates to expand is too high. I often get an error when expanding. Or maybe the timeout should be a function of the number of templates being expanded and the number of strategies selected, because as I increase both, I often hit the timeout.

Additionally, the timeout error message is not explicit, so it is confusing to the user. I am just assuming that that is what is causing the error, because when I decrease the num. templates it resolves the issue.
