[feature request] detect laptop lid

many fingerprint readers are on laptops and are not accessible when the lid is closed. /proc/acpi/button/lid/LID0/state contains the state. is it possible to add the option of checking this and quitting immediately, if the lid is closed?

i do realise that it's possible that one has external fingerprint readers in use when a laptop is closed but i don't know how often that happens.
