When cart collect is used with chests close to each other, it prioritizes chests contact order instead of position with iron ore

CartCollect issue:

When placing chests close to each other, the cart collect sign does not target the right chest. It does not deposit in the chest adjacent to the iron ore, but instead in a chest two blocks further, which it passed over previously and is still (maybe) in contact with.

It doesn't allow for compact designs.

Here's a screenshot to explain what happens on my construction:

red arrows indicate where the item is coming from (collect sign + iron ore) and where it's going (chest).

I think it may be a range problem with the chest minecart, as it is going from left to right (top image). When the chest minecart touches the collect sign, at that exact time, it may still be in contact with the previous chest as it is only 1 block away, and since it was the first loaded chest, it uses it as priority.
