Why We Need /Lockmob
In the current Minecraft Online (MCO) economy, a wealth gap exists between the rich and the poor. The rich grow richer, while the poor stay poor.
Essential resources like iron and items from villager trading halls are becoming increasingly inaccessible to new players or those with less-established farms.
The root of the problem lies in sabotage: players deliberately kill mobs in others' farms—villagers, dogs, iron golems, and snow golems—crippling their ability to produce resources. This has led to limited access to necessary materials like iron and enchanted items.
We propose the introduction of a /lockmob command, which would allow players to protect critical mobs from harm. This command should apply to:
Villagers (to safeguard trading halls)
Dogs (as trusted companions and protectors)
Iron Golems (for misc farms)
Snow Golems (for misc farms)
/lockmob would only work on villagers, dogs, iron/snow golems and have a cap on how many mobs are locked at once
By ensuring the security of these mobs, we can prevent malicious interference in farms and encourage equal access to vital resources, leveling the playing field in MCO. Everyone should have the opportunity to succeed, and no one should be able to disrupt that success by destroying mobs.
