(bug): Chat loops the messages and keeps expanding with repeated text

Note: This seems to get fixed once the page is reloaded, but issue will appear again after some more text is added to the chat
Steps to reproduce
- Login
- Start a chat with another user
- Scroll up to see chat history

Parts of the conversation are repeated in a loop, making the chat very difficult to follow up

Chat history is not repeated
