New blogs breaks silently if you don't have an avatar

Summary

If you create a new account and then try and create a blog without first creating an avatar for your channel, the publish button fails silently and doesn't save. Users will lose their blog because their only choice is to navigate away

Steps to reproduce

Using an account without a channel avatar, try to create a new blog with the console open. When you save it, you will see that error and it won't save.
