Previous comments are not displaying correctly

Summary

When viewing a blog article or post that contains a large number of comments, the option to load the previous amount of comments appears but when clicking on the "load" statement, the previous comment are not displayed (but the current number of comments remain on screen).

Platform information

Tested with a Webkit based browser (Epiphany), Blink (Chromium) and Quantum (Firefox) based browsers. (Seems to be end-user platform neutral)

See above.

What is the expected correct behavior?

Clicking on said "load" statement should then provide access toScreenshot_20190607_164442 previous comments.

Relevant logs and/or screenshots

See screenshot for an example of the "load" statement
