Basic shortcut keys / zoom
Summary
-
Editing keyboard shortcuts
-
Basic zoom function for the view and timeline when working on a Wacom board. (Can't use the middle scroll button and the trackpad gesture. Really need a simple keyboard shortcut option for the zoom.)
Context
I hate that this is an issue, because you have done so great with a lot of stuff and really thought it well through. However; there is some basic stuff missing — especially for us who is working professionally with a Wacom board. (On Mac) I am actually kind of surprised you haven't worked that in your first live version, giving that you have thought of so much other stuff. Keyboard shortcuts editing and the possibility of zooming without the middle scroll bar and trackpad, seemesly with basic keys is just a must for all motion-graphic designers.
My workflow is totally ruined without the possibility of zooming in and out on the stuff i am working on. And i really need it to be simple keys for my left hand when working with my right hand on the Wacom board — just like the keyboard shortcuts you do with 2 simple keys in After Effects. I have tried everything on the wacom board (and trackpad) and the functionality from the 'viewport' basics tutorial simply don't work with using the trackpad's zoom function. And even if it did, only having middle mouse button and trackpad available for zoom, just really sucks. Without that i can't use Cavalry for anything, despite the fact that much of it, is so much cooler than AE. I will just have to skip Cavalry until there is a descent option for zooming.
Examples
I think there is no need for examples.
