Improve CLI command invocation performance
Problem
Each CLI command requires an unusual execution time to run even if running with trivial flags like --help
or --version
. For example, try running the following commands:
$ meltano
$ meltano --help
$ meltano --version
Data: Perceived execution time is 1
to 3
seconds. The actual execution time spans from 1.38
seconds to 1.64
seconds. You can see the system resource usage, like execution time and CPU usage, using the time
command before each command.
Suggestion: All these commands should run instantly and take less than 1 second if not less than 100 milliseconds.
