`meltano elt` `--select <entity>` deselects all attributes other than those marked `inclusion: automatic`

This ~regression was introduced by the (supposed) ~"bug"fix for #2352 (closed) in !1873 (merged) and released in v1.50.0, because I (embarrassingly) only wrote unit tests, not integration tests, to verify the correct behavior of the select_filter extra (and the --select option which uses it). I will not make the same mistake (as often) again.
