Video Merge Doubling the length

Dear friend,

When I am trying to merge a video file I downloaded .mp4, I get a resulting .mkv with double the length.

Sounds like the same situation as #2196 (closed) or #2152 (closed). If you want me to take a look at it, I'll need the MP4 file. Please upload it to my file server. Thanks.

Thanks for the sample. I can reproduce the issue here, and it's definitely not related to edit lists. I'll look into it.

added os:all type:bug ~3975520 and removed other:need-sample labels

Oh wait, it is an edit list problem: again two edit list entries with identical settings, both span the whole file. Technically not a bug in mkvmerge. I'll see about making mkvmerge ignore this type of bad information.
