Do not write new .INI file every time app is closed
v69.0.0 64-bit on Windows 10 21H2 64-bit
Every time MKVToolNix terminates it writes out a new copy of its MKVTOOLNIX-GUI.INI settings file. This impacts me because I like to "cloud sync" my applications across all my systems by hardlinking their settings files to a folder in my OneDrive directory that is replicated across all my systems. This doesnt work for MKVToolNix because every time the application is launched and then terminated it deletes the existing .INI file in its own directory (orphaning the linked-copy in OneDrive) and writes a new one which of course has no other hardlinks (its a new file!). This "breaks" the hardlink association between the .INI file in my OneDrive folder and the MKVToolNix application directory so I no longer sync any changes to the settings.
Thank you
