Rotation handle in dev 5.5 is acting up

I had so many issues with version 5.4 that I threw myself in at the deep end and tried the 5.5 dev. So far it seems a much better choice for stability etc. however one thing I have noticed is that while the rotation handle in 5.4 works as intended in 5.5 it doesn't. It will not allow you to change the rotation slowly with the mouse, instead it spins out of control and it will only go clockwise. If you add the rotation in properties it works as expected. It is only affecting the handle used with a mouse.
