Always open file manager pcmanfm in new window
Thanks for creating and sharing rofi-file-selector!
I have used it mostly to open directories, and my preferred file manager is pcmanfm
.
After having used this plugin for a few days, I find one minor area of friction:
if I already happen to have a pcmanfm window open (which is usually the case, often on a different i3 workspace)
the new directory is spawned as a tab inside the existing pcmanfm window instead of (as I'd much prefer)
a new pcmanfm window on the currently focused workspace.
In essence, I need pcmanfm
to be invoked with the option --new-win
.
I've read through the bash scripts and the python script, and I think the python script
mimeapps
is where the magic happens.
But I'm not familiar enough with the python libraries to know what to change.
If I had to, I could probably replace the entire python script with a hard-coded call to pcmanfm --new-win
from the main bash script, but I thought I should ask first, since someone might be willing to help me along or even offer a neater solution?
