This section contains knowledge about the SFV game scripts. You can browse those in the wonderful DIFF tool by TOOLASSlSTED. This documentation also covers how each part of the script should be interpreted, down to the actual computation formulae when necessary.
Moves: Contains the description of each move and their restrictions
Scripts: Main part of the game script. It describes the whole sequence of action to perform during a move.
A character can spawn projectiles. Each projectile is behaving more or less like a standard character but their entire BAC (Hitbox Effects, Scripts) is different. Those are referred by the name 'EFF' (Effect).
Not studied in depth yet, but basically: Nadeshiko is a 3rd player in the scene. She has the same properties as any other player but she can't be directly controlled. However, she can be controlled by R.Mika using some command.
Flags and bitfields
If you are not familiar with a concept of bit fields this may be tricky to comprehend some attributes. For those, the "0x" notation is used to describe masks, this is the standard notation to note hexadecimal numbers. You can use this tool or the calculator from your device in programmer mode to help you convert values to bits.
Versions of the scripts can be confusing because each character has its own versioning. The version of each character for a specific version of the game can be found here.
Characters are identified by a trigram. As of season 2 this is the meaning of all those.
M. Bison (Dictator)
There are two other specific trigrams: CMN for Common scripts and NDK for Nadeshiko.
