Domain mapping (recognise related recipients hosts as one)
Gmail automatically maps variations of the username part of email addresses to a single address; all these addresses are treated as one:
- foobar@gmail.com
- foobar@googlemail.com
- foob.ar@googlemail.com
- foo.bar@gmail.com
- foobar+123@gmail.com
- foo.bar+misc@gmail.com
Therefore Lightmeter should map these addresses also, but not for other domains, which have different policies on this question. Otherwise, typos, and deliberate exploitation of these variations, will result in wrongly applied policies of blocklisting and allowlisting of certain addresses.
