Zoom level no longer preserved in same tab on same site

Possibly/probably since upgrading to LW 104.0.2-1 (from 103.0.2-1 on gentoo Linux), a custom zoom level will reset to 100% "most of the time" I navigate, by clicking links (within the same site, on the same tab).

I find this inconvenient to say the least.

Some examples to reproduce this:

1. http://brunostrip.com/wp/?p=51
   Here, practically any navigation will reset the zoom level. Specifically and most inconveniently, also, flipping through pages using "Next>" (and "<Previous").

2. https://dilbert.com/strip/2022-01-01
   Here, next/previous using the arrows to the right/left of the strip apparently persists the zoom level. Zoom level is also kept when clicking "About" at the top right and navigating to the About page. However, zoom level resets to 100% when navigating back to the strip using the browser back function.

In summary, zoom level in a tab feels inconsistent and appears to reset to 100% "at most times when navigating at all, while sometimes persisting randomly".

At first glance, per-Tab zoom level is preserved (at least 'better') with "Resist Fingerprinting" turn off; i.e., it's likely that the issue occurs somewhere within the RFP code path. In that case, it should either be fixed or get a way to override this, ideally per site. (In my personal use case, I only want this to work on some very few specific sites; for general browsing to random, unknown sites I don't care about zoom level persisting 'correctly', whatever 'correctly' might mean in such a case.) Searching for 'zoom' in about:config does not turn up an obvious candidate. Changing browser.zoom.siteSpecific there does not affect this behaviour at all.

The "Enhanced Tracking Protection" readily accessible per-site using the shield in the address bar also does not change this behaviour for me.
