Add "zero background connections" toggle in LW settings
Some people have always criticized LibreWolf for making outgoing connections in the background and when starting up (for example for uBO, OSCP, etc.). We've already discussed that the privacy and security benefits outweigh the disadvantages, that's why we keep the current connections the way they are.
But for the people who still don't want LibreWolf to make outgoing connections in the background, and who accept the disadvantages and inconveniences attached to removing all background connections (like manually having to update uBO lists), would it make sense to add a toggle to the LW settings which disables all outgoing connections in the background? This would work by changing all prefs that cause background connections, disable uBO auto updating, and then informing the user about those changes.
@fxbrit I mainly want to hear your opinion about this. Is this something we should do?
