’ character is rendered with a large space

This article uses the ’ character in it's text. For example, paragraph three:

The first word is rendered really oddly, with a large amount of space after the ’ character. This is not the only website which is affected by this. I've attached a screenshot of what I'm seeing.

Using Firefox snap installation of Firefox 103.0 I'm not seeing this issue. However, I have not customised this version so this might be a setting I've broken somewhere, somehow.)
