Add the Atmospheric Effects of Precipitation through Energetic X-Rays (AEPEX) CubeSat to SatNOGS DB

Satellite name

Atmospheric Effects of Precipitation through Energetic X-Rays (AEPEX)

Description

AEPEX is a 6U CubeSat that will study radiation belt losses through energetic particle precipitation (EPP) in the upper atmosphere, magnetopause shadowing, and wave-particle interactions. It uses a novel method to distinguish and quantify the impacts of these different components by measuring flux, spectrum, spatial scales, and temporal scales of EPP.

Comments

AEPEX does not yet have a NORAD ID, since it has not been launched. I would appreciate if a temporary NORAD ID can be assigned to AEPEX for the purposes of uploading data to SatNOGs until an actual ID is issued.

We plan to add support for this mission to gr-satellites. I will add a GitHub link here soon, if anyone is interested in following!

To upload designs, you'll need to enable LFS and have an admin enable hashed storage. More information
