Description
ESTCube-2 is a 3U Cubesat built by the Estonian Student Satellite Foundation and University of Tartu. The mission aims to demonstrate deorbiting with plasma brake technology and qualify a deep-space nanospacecraft platform for future missions that will use the electric solar wind sail. Additionally, ESTCube-2 carries two Earth observation cameras and a materials testing experiment.
Expected launch on the Vega-C VV23 from Kourou at October 7 2023 at 01:36 am UTC.
