Doubt on strings from command-line tool osinfo-detect

While translating libosinfo, the following doubt came up. osinfo-detect's help output has:

-f, --format=plain. Output format. Default: plain
-t, --type=media|tree. The type to be used. Default: media

where "plain.", "media", "media|tree." and "media" are available for translation. However they seem to be supported values which normally should not be translated.

My question is: should I translate "plain.", "media", "media|tree." and "media" to my language?
