Please remove my profile
This is a similar request to Jeremy Soller in #91 (closed) and Andrew Gallant in #121 (closed).
It was recently brought to the community's attention (including my own) that you made the decision to label the bitcoin crate as deprecated. I made my viewpoint clear in that thread. This is the current code. Your view on cryptocurrencies is known to me, and I largely agree. However, it is without question that the bitcoin crate is not deprecated. On the contrary, there have been six releases within the past year (including one later yanked). For comparison, the largest crate I maintain (time) had 13 (including one in the 0.1 series).
The "sneering" that Andrew previously referred to I find inappropriate, but not so much so that I ever felt it necessary to request removal. However, presenting information to users that is demonstrably false is simply unacceptable in my opinion.
Given that a crate that is objectively maintained has been falsely labelled as deprecated, please remove my profile from lib.rs as soon as practicable. It is acceptable to include a link to my crates.io profile. As you have requested statements from others, feel free to include the following:
jhpratt requested that his profile be unlisted on lib.rs due to the bitcoin crate being falsely labelled as deprecated.
If at some point in the future, you change you mind and remove the deprecated label from the bitcoin crate, you may reinstate my profile at such time.
