About Irregular Frequency
Dear all,
I am using NEMOH to solve a 3*3 array problem. Each body is a vertical cylinder with a radius of 3 m and a draft of 1.5 m. The distance between two adjacent bodies is 10m. I added the top face mesh to activate "irregular frequency removal". The solved radiation added mass and damping in heave between body 1 and body 9 are:
It turns out that when w=[1.25,2] the curves look quite "irregular", and the correponding radiation kernel, computed using FD2TD.m, looks very close to unstable. If I use a polynomial to fit the radiation kernel, I always get an unstable system.
Indeed when w=[2.5,3] there is another irregular frequency, but after I remove it (using interpolation), the unstablity issue remains.
So, is the computed result reliable?
