S-Tags are too long
As currently designed, an S-Tag, while unique, is a long and unwieldy string. They are very difficult to type and hurt the simplicity of the system.
We need to consider shorter possibilities, such as those based on DNS. While DNS-based options were previously rejected due to a desire to avoid centralization, it may be possible to devise a mechanism that avoids this problem at least to a certain extent.
