GWE entirely blank, fans did not spin up until GPU overheating.
Bug report
EDIT: This was not a GWE issue, GPU somehow became slightly unseated while my computer was stationary somehow and that was the issue. Apologies for this improper bug report then, lol.
Step 1: Are you in the right place?
-
I have verified there are no duplicate active or recent bugs, questions, or requests -
I have verified that I am using the latest version of GreenWithEnvy (GWE)
Step 2: Describe your environment
- GWE version:
0.15.5
- Installed from source/Flatpak/AUR/other (specify):
Flatpak
- Distribution name and version (e.g. Ubuntu 18.10):
Arch 6.4.7-zen1-zen
- Desktop Environment (e.g. Gnome 3.30):
Xfce 4.18
- NVIDIA driver version (e.g. 415.27):
535.86.05
- CoolBits value (4, 8, 12, ..., don't know):
31
- GPU (e.g. Asus Strix OC 1080 Ti):
EVGA 3060 Ti XC Gaming
Step 3: Describe the problem:
Steps to reproduce:
- launch GWE
Observed Results:
- After updating my system today, the GPU fans (which were controlled by GWE) didn't spin up at all until the card was functionally overheating. The fans not spinning up caused a massive slowdown in-game. Then I booted up GWE to monitor it, and GWE was entirely blank. I cannot monitor any info about the GPU let alone control any parameters. I have rebooted, re-installed the current nvidia drivers. And the issue still persists in regards to GWE being blank. But the fans are at least spinning now.
Expected Results:
- I expected the application to at least monitor the GPu
