How to go forward with a "discussion platform" for Linux users?

Sorry for "abusing" the "Issues" section for this, but I didn't find any direct contact info and hope you maybe find the time to respond to this.

So far we have a (really well made) information overview. Thanks for preparing that and thanks for setting up a domain for that.

What, in my opinion, still is missing is any kind of discussion platform. So I really wonder what your plans are to get something set up there. Some options that I see:

• Keep with kbin.social only. I really like the idea of an open discussion platform, but in my opinion neither kbin nor lemmy were prepared of getting that much new users at once. Both platforms still need polishing and are IMHO not really up to the task currently. Just to be sure I recently deleted my lemmy accounts again as it seems that they struggle to keep illegal content off their platform and I decided to better keep looking "from a safe distance" until they manage to fix this somehow.
• Host a forum on your leagueoflinux.org domain. I don't know if you already have some kind of hosting behind that and if you are willing to moderate a forum. With all the trouble with "centralized services" it maybe is a good idea to set up dedicated forums again
• Somehow get the subreddit going again. I really no longer want to contribute to reddit in any way again and I do not want to moderate it any more but in the past being on reddit allowed to get into contact with Riot employees which would probably not be possible on other platforms. I didn't moderate in the past (at least not in any considerable amount) and I do not want to in the future so the only thing I could think of would be to make the subreddit read only at first and ask for additional moderators that still want to work for free for a company that doesn't really accept their users needs.

Would be great to read your thoughts about that.
