Party frame: To be or not to be, that is the question?
I am not sure if I want to keep the party frame. Yes it does not hide the maze rendering, but I don't really like the idea of portrait. It's unessential to the experience, add more step to the character creation and implies a few variables like race and sex during portrait selection.
On the other hand the party frame could still have it's used to contain more complete information on the sides and liberate the center of the screen. The party frame could also be less text based, or less abridged than the regular party frame.
Still icons could be added for status effects. You can use item from gamesicon.net
Else if portrait are kept, smaller pictures could be used. Maybe use wizardry 6 portrait, get some custom made portrait, but it's really not a priority.
UPDATE: At least I could disable portraits, and eventually make a text only side bar. The side bar is interesting because you gain space on the screen for the display of the maze, it's the use of picture that is really not mandatory considering the original wizardry games had no character pictures.
DESTROY: I will not use widescreen resolution, I will favor more standard resolution. Also, there were not enough characters on the side to print anything meaningful. So the sidebars are to destroy.
The completion of this issue is when the code will be destroyed.
