Consider ways and relations flagged as area and convert them to ACCESS SPACEs

All WAY primitives (in combination with 'area=yes') and multipolygon REL with the following tags must be considered:

• highway=footway
• highway=pedestrian
• footway=sidewalk

This example is converted to the following AccessSpace: The AccessSpace references all EquipmentPlaces that are connected/overlapping with it (in this case here 4 steps and 4 elevators).
