* Make the forebrain an Arduino-class embedded controller, not a Unix SBC

Penny wise, pound foolish; the skills required to do software development on no-OS embedded processors are too uncommon, critically limiting the potential developer pool. It's not even clear this would be a BOM win; Unix SBCs tend to have bundled-in ports that we'll need and would otherwise have to buy separately.
* Get rid of the PSU on the host machine; build something that feeds it DC direct.
