Hi, I’m Kyle, a Senior Product Designer on the Secure team. I’m based in Washington D.C. and previously lived in Colorado, Massachusetts, Southern California and once upon a time was born in TX.

I’m currently travelling-working in the CET time zone. I typically work 0900 to 1800, with the exception of Tuesdays which I prefer to schedule synced meetings across time zones.

* **Email:** I check email daily primarily to sort through issue notifications and scheduling.
* **Slack:** I check daily, usually in the afternoon, and consider it asynchronous. It’s ideal for short logistics or quick question-answers.
* **Zoom:** Ideal for conversations requiring back and forth in-depth dialogue.

### Values
I consider my process human-oriented, evolving, and adaptable. There is no one size fits all approach, rather common considerations including: Who are we solving problems? Who am I working with? How do they best communicate? What inspires them? What inspires us? How can we evolve our practice? These questions form the foundation for my approach. Though, deeper than my process are my values I’ve learned along the way:
* Candor and respect are not mutually exclusive; both must be practiced simultaneously
* Diversity in all forms is essential and good ideas can come from anywhere; inside and outside the industry, the company, up, down, and across the org chart.

Key lessons: make data more dense, keep items in space not time (same vs different pages), avoid powerpoint, and to never use pie charts.
