What is it?

• A type of file with the “.zip” extension that is a single compression of one or multiple folders and files to allow for smaller data size and easy transferrence of data

Common Uses?

• Zipping software downloads in order to save storage space
• Zipping data to set encryption for privacy

What we would like to work on and improve about zip files?

• When extracting zip files, allow for the files within it to be stored in a folder of choice instead of a default one
