pcbnew: large rectangle drawn on silkscreen layer

When I open a board file, I get this

It seems this happens when the silkscreen layer was not the last active layer before when the board editor was closed. It happens when another layer (e.g. copper layer) is the active layer.

The error is not consistent. Sometimes the large rectangle on the silkscreen layer appears as the board is loaded, but then disappears eventually when the board has finished loading. At other times it doesn't happen at all.
