Confirm on openSUSE KiCad 6.0.4. Happens if PCB Editor has never been opened in the session. The generators are available when PCB Editor has been opened once, even if closed when Footprint Editor is opened.

I don't know about this case in particular, but in general it's best to ask before starting work on a MR for an issue that is already assigned to someone else

Oh for sure - it was just getting in the way of my workflow for a new board, and seemed untouched for a few weeks, so I fixed it in this case.

I fixed this issue, and also a related issue in ft wizard selection dlg: reloading wizards did not work well.
Thanks for your help: my fix is not exactly the same in your MR, but it is similar.
