Page layout editor, Item Properties looses focus when trying to enter text with an onscreen keyboard on Windows
Description copied from https://forum.kicad.info/t/accessibility-issue-with-onscreen-keyboard-use/23849.
in the Page Layout Editor it is impossible to edit any text. If I select some text to edit then try to use my onscreen keyboard (other onscreen keyboards suffer the same problem) it looses focus and becomes impossible to edit.
I’m just testing this on Kubuntu with “onboard”. I can edit text with that onscreen keyboard app. The problem is Windows only and I can confirm it.
I can edit any other text in text fields, grids etc. which I found and tested in other sub-apps. So the Properties panel is the culprit.
This is true for 5.1.6 and 5.99.
Steps to reproduce
- Open the on-screen keyboard on Windows 10. (It should exist there by default under the name "On-Screen Keyboard").
- In the Page Layout Editor select some text item so that it appears in the Item Properties panel.
- Click the text in the panel.
- Move the mouse to the on-screen keyboard and try to edit the text.
(EDIT: info changed to the one from the original user - I was trying both Windows and Linux and reported this on Linux, pasting the info from there.)
