Symbol Editor Deletes Unrelated Base Symbol When Derived Symbols Are Also Deleted

Description

When deleting a base symbol from the 74xx library, within the Symbol Editor, derived symbols are deleted, but the base symbol is not. Instead, a totally unrelated base symbol is deleted, and only found with the "git -status" listing. This issue was observed under Kubuntu 24.04 LTS, not the current 26.04 LTS. This issue has been confirmed by librarian @Macj332 - McDowell Johnson, and librarian @cpresser - Carsten Presser is aware of it.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Deleted the base symbol 74LS02 which had derived symbols 7402, 74HC02, 74HCT02, and 74LS28, and selected to also delete the derived symbols.

Results: The Symbol Editor deleted the derived 7402, 74HC02, 74HCT02, and 74LS28 symbols, but not the base 74LS02. What it also deleted was a totally unrelated 74469 (8-bit Synchronous Binary Counter), that I have never even looked at with the editor. Git -restore was used to put it back into the library.
